Logline:
In an African Community in the diaspora, a headstrong young woman falls in love with her so called uncle that her mother is totally against. They must find a solution fast to be with each other at all cost.
Pitch paragraph:
NGOZI is a 23-year-old headstrong beauty who lives with her parents and in love with her so called uncle that her mother is totally against. When Ngozi’s efforts to be with her so called uncle goes awry, her sister NKECHI rescues Ngozi by writing to KING Umudo 1 of Udo, a West African community king in charge of the affairs of Ngozi’s community people both in African and in the Diaspora. But King Umudo 1 of Udo is no ordinary king. A veteran conflict resolution expert, he’s bent on avenging the disconnect of African heritage preservation among young Africans in the diaspora. Now, Ngozi’s mother, LOLO JOHNSON among others are trying to create even more disconnect among African youth within their community due to selfish reasons. Forging an agreement with other African community chiefs in the diaspora, King Umudo 1 of Udo must get to the bottom of this matter to make certain that he bridges the gap to the matter at all cost.
Ngozi, 21, is well on her way from begin a single woman to a full-fledged wife to her so called uncle by the name KC. Trying her very best to be more intimate with her so called uncle, she seeks truth from her mother Lolo Johnson about their true connection and relationship with uncle KC. ,
Lolo Johnson continues to stick with her story that uncle KC is a blood relative just so her daughter Ngozi does not get married to her so called uncle KC simply because she believes that young African men from her community have no money, name, class, and a bright future.
OLA is under the impression that a non-African man would have more to offer a woman in marriage due to his financial stability among other things.
Bola wants to be with ABIOLA, her boyfriend that she has been madly in love with for some time but her mother is objecting to it because she believes that Abiola is a mere Nigerian with no name and she wants a brighter future for her daughter.
After the local council of elders meet with Lolo Johnson and other community women to discuss this matter in hope to resolve the issue at hand, KC felt somewhat comfortable to let Lolo Johnson know his intention to marry her daughter Ngozi but that did not go quite well.
On the course to resolve this uncle lies, Nkechi discovers that her friend BOLA is going through similar situation at home with her mother OLA and seek the help of the community leader to reslove the issue at hand.
